Everyone knows that to make it in this business you need more than just to like the music; you need to live it and this is what "The Lives" do. Through every vein of this musical collective pumps artistic inspiration and a desire to spread a message through sound. Jimbo Lawton and Shem Booth–Spain are the Lives, both having a successful background fronting various bands. United over a couple of pints and a impromptu jam in a pub these two singer/songwriter/guitarist forces have come together complementing and adding three fold layers to each others music. Shem Booth-Spain creates a slick combination of earnest vocals and loose guitars, while Jimbo Lawton creates emotive lyrics delivered with a powerful voice. Their inspirations of John Lennon, Neil Young, Oasis, Electric Light Orchestra, Brian Eno, Killers, MGMT and Damien Rice are put into a melting pot to create, what we hope you will find, an arousing blend!
